Older hardware, one tab, nothing installed
On modest hardware the browser is often the lighter route rather than a compromise. Only what is on screen has to be drawn, so keeping a couple of symbols open instead of a full grid of them keeps the load low, and closing the tab returns the machine to exactly the state it was in.
Because the account belongs to the platform rather than to the device, an older machine imposes no lasting choice. Signing in from a newer computer later brings back the same account with nothing to migrate, and signing out on a shared machine leaves nothing at all behind for the next person.
Interface language is set inside the platform, not taken from the device, so a computer configured by somebody else still shows things your way. Bangladesh runs at UTC+6, putting London in the early afternoon and New York in the evening — hours when whichever screen is free tends to be the one that gets used.
